Beginning Education at the Traditional Maktab
At the age of four, he and his elder brother were sent to a traditional maktab school. He did not like the maktab environment. He was still a child and did not yet have the patience or readiness for the strict lessons taught there.
Beginning Primary Education.He enrolled in the first grade of the Diyanati School, whose environment was deeply religious. he studied with great interest and enthusiasm
In his memoirs, he says: “The first day we were taken to primary school was a wonderful day. We played happily and it was a day full of excitement and joy. Mr. Tadayyun, the school supervisor, was also a kind man.”
Beginning Formal Seminary Studies in the Mashhad Seminary
During the final years of primary school, he developed a deep interest in literature and later became familiar with novels. In the library of Astan Quds Razavi, he immersed himself in reading and studied more than a thousand novels, including the works of Romain Rolland and Leo Tolstoy’s *War and Peace*.
The First Spark of Motivation for Revolutionary Activities Inspired by Sayyid Mojtaba Navvab Safavi
When Navvab Safavi came to the Suleiman Khan School, he met him and was deeply attracted by his style of speech and revolutionary slogans.
At the age of seventeen, he began attending the advanced jurisprudence (Dars-e Kharij) classes of Ayatollah Sayyid Mohammad Hadi Milani.
